Professional Experience

Before joining Unit LEGAL, he worked with Raposo Bernardo e Associados (July 2008 to May 2011), Saragoça da Matta & Silveiro de Barros, Sociedade de Advogados RL (October 2007 to July 2008) and also Rogério Tavares, Baltazar Mendes e Associados, Sociedade de Advogados RL (September 2003 to July 2007), where she began her collaboration as a trainee lawyer and completed her internship in March 2006, when she took the Bar Association exam.

Practice Areas

Mónica has developed her work mainly in the area of Civil Law, particularly Contract Law, but also Family and Succession Law.
As Civil Law is a fundamental area for other branches of law, her support to other departments is one of the key aspects of her work at Unit LEGAL.
In the area of litigation, she has worked mainly in civil, corporate, and insurance litigation.

Academic Qualifications

Mónica completed her degree in 2003 (Faculty of Law, University of Lisbon). She completed the postgraduate course in Arbitration in 2010 (Faculty of Law of the Universidade Nova de Lisboa), having also attended the postgraduate course in Legal Sciences in 2015 (Faculty of Law of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa).
