The Commercial and Corporate Law department, coordinated by Rita Beirôco, is made up of a team of lawyers specialized in the areas of Commercial and Corporate Law.
Focused on advising national and international corporate clients operating in Portugal, Unit LEGAL has an experienced and qualified team to support its clients in all aspects of their activities and in all corporate aspects in general. It has also supported the internationalization of its national clients’ businesses and advised foreign clients on making investments in Portugal.
Our team establishes lasting partnerships with its clients, supporting them in their business projects, actively participating in all phases of implementation of each operation – design and restructuring, auditing, drafting and negotiating the respective contracts and relevant documentation.
Within the scope of these projects, the commercial and corporate team works together and in an integrated manner with the other teams in the office – namely the tax, labor and civil areas – and, also, in collaboration with the client and their consultants in the financial, accounting and auditing areas.
The department also focuses on the specific activity of each client, providing advice on the design, implementation and development of the business, including the preparation of partnership agreements, shareholder agreements, and the implementation of corporate governance principles.
The team has also developed its expertise in the preparation of commercial contracts, with particular emphasis on Agency, Distribution, Franchise and Concession contracts.
