Unit LEGAL’s Labor Law department, coordinated by partner Luís Almeida Carneiro, includes lawyers with extensive professional experience in the area and solid academic qualifications.
Unit LEGAL provides legal advice in all areas of Labor Law, namely: Individual Labor Law; Collective Bargaining; Labor Litigation and Social Security.
We provide exceptional and daily support for issues raised by our clients’ Human Resources departments, from the hiring of employees to the termination of employment, with a special focus on: Drafting and reviewing employment contracts; Clarification of additional obligations such as professional training and occupational health and safety; Drafting internal regulations; Salary processing; Analysis of working hours and holidays; Disciplinary procedures; Termination of employment relationships in various areas and Human Resources audits.
Unit LEGAL has extensive experience in developing instruments and implementing compliance programs within the scope of regulations with an impact on employment, such as the general corruption prevention regime and the implementation of reporting channels in companies, with a view to mitigating risks and defining good practices, at national and international level.
We seek to carry out strategic analyses of human resources based on the specific needs of our clients, aiming, in particular, to optimize training processes, remuneration procedures and staff retention.
Although the work carried out by the Labor Law department focuses on prevention, Unit LEGAL represents its clients before all labor jurisdictions in the country at all procedural stages, as well as before the administrative authorities with inspection powers for the labor area.
