The Tax Law department, coordinated by Elsa Rodrigues, is made up of a team of specialist lawyers with extensive experience in the Portuguese tax regime, as well as in the main international tax rules and regimes.
Considering that this is an area of great relevance and that it can generate high contingencies, all the work developed by the Tax Law department is always analyzed from a global perspective, working in an integrated and joint manner with the other departments of the firm, with a view to providing clients with efficient and innovative tax solutions in all sectors of activity.
The department’s team provides tax advisory services, including the legal and tax structuring of investment and divestment operations, national or foreign, in all business areas, tax assistance for business reorganization operations, tax advice for real estate investments, as well as for individuals, resident or non-resident, expatriates or with non-habitual residence in Portugal.
The department also allocates a significant portion of its resources, with a high level of specialization, to the area of tax litigation, in all its aspects, administrative, judicial and arbitration.
