Mafalda has been working at Unit LEGAL since 2018 and is part of the Commercial and Corporate Department, coordinated by Rita Beirôco.

Professional Experience

Before joining Unit LEGAL, she worked at André, Miranda e Associados – Sociedade de Advogados, SP, RL (January 2016 to January 2018), E.P.O.S. – Empresa Portuguesa de Obras Subterrâneas, S.A. (Teixeira Duarte Group), as an in-house lawyer (October 2014 to January 2016), João Pedroso e Associados – Sociedade de Advogados, RL (January 2006 to September 2014) and also at Guével Branco & Associados, Lda, where she completed her internship and with which she worked after completing it (October 2002 to December 2005).

Practice Areas

Mafalda assists national and international clients by advising them on corporate restructuring processes, namely mergers, spin-offs, acquisitions or sales.

Mafalda also provides advice on the negotiation of shareholder agreements as well as commercial contracts, providing ongoing support to clients’ activities, advising them on complying with the legal obligations to which they are bound, from a corporate housekeeping perspective.

Academic Qualifications

Mafalda completed her degree in 2002 (Faculty of Law, University of Lisbon).

Completed postgraduate studies in Commercial Law in 2010 (Faculty of Law of the Catholic University of Portugal).
